DorsalSource is a community-focused website whose goal is to provide builds of MySQL and related products.
Who's actually behind this site anyway?
The idea for DorsalSource took shape after several community members, including Jonathan Cheyer and Jeremy Cole, expressed a desire for a place to quickly download and share MySQL releases. After some brainstorming, they got together and decided to collaborate on making the vision a reality. DorsalSource is actively sponsored by Proven Scaling and community contributors. We are looking for additional participants.
Jeremy and Jonathan have led the development and implementation of DorsalSource.

DorsalSource is not affiliated with or endorsed by MySQL AB.
Who supports the site?
Currently it is run as a community website by Proven Scaling and community members. We are looking for ways to incorporate community members and other contributors.

Please try out our builds and let us know if you find them helpful. If you want to help with infrastructure or other things, post on our forum.
Are DorsalSource MySQL builds "official"?
Nope. If you want official MySQL® builds, please go to the MySQL AB site.
Where do these builds come from?
To ensure security and reliability, we maintain a tightly controlled network of build servers which provide the builds available on DorsalSource.
